EOS Utility is a freeware EOS updater software app filed under camera software and made available by Canon for Windows. /easy-xml-converter-serial-key.html.

Setup and image transfer for Canon EOS digital cameras

EOS Utility makes it easy to transfer images from your EOS camera to your computer. You can transfer all images at once or select individual images to transfer, it also integrates easily with Digital Photo Professional and ImageBrowser EX.

EOS Utility also allows you to remotely operate the camera from your computer using either the interface cable that was supplied with your camera, or via Wi-Fi if your camera includes it or via a separate Wireless File Transmitter.

EOS Utility on 32-bit and 64-bit PCs

This download is licensed as freeware for the Windows (32-bit and 64-bit) operating system on a laptop or desktop PC from camera software without restrictions. EOS Utility 3.13.10.1 is available to all software users as a free download for Windows 10 PCs but also without a hitch on Windows 7 and Windows 8.

Compatibility with this EOS updater software may vary, but will generally run fine under Microsoft Windows 10, Windows 8, Windows 8.1, Windows 7, Windows Vista and Windows XP on either a 32-bit or 64-bit setup. A separate x64 version may be available from Canon.

EOS Utility and WiFi tethering EOS 70D

EOS Utility is a funny old program, I love it and know it pretty well so when something changes I tend to just work with it and get on. Recently I received a comment from Matt on one of my old blog posts that the process explained to tether an EOS camera with EOS Utility was incorrect. 18 months ago it was working now it’s update time.

The steps to pair a camera with your computer are the same on the camera – be it an EOS 70D or EOS 6D.

• Go in to the settings menu on the camera and enable the WiFi
• Go to the WiFi function menu and choose Remote control (EOS Utility)
• Follow the steps to select your network, and input the WiFi key
• The camera will prompt you to start the pairing software

This will display this new screen if no camera is detected on USB. This is what you need to pair the camera now. Click on the Pairing over WiFi/LAN button

• The camera will be detected on the network, then select it

• Follow the steps on the camera to save the settings and then press the Menu button to finish.
• EOS Utility will start and the rest of the process from the old post will work fine… 🙂

Earlier this week Canon announced EOS Utility 3.0 and Digital Photo Professional 4.0. At the moment these only work with the latest full-frame EOS cameras, the EOS 6D, EOS 5D Mark III, EOS-1D X and EOS-1D C. I’m working on some new posts about these software versions, however for the time being EOS Utility 2.14 and DPP 3.14 are still being used for all the older cameras including the EOS 70D. I hope that Canon soon aligns the software to work with one version for all the cameras.
